Shopping spree Day 2

I feel so old…

Bugis supposed to be like a hip place for youngsters right?

Today after my project meeting, jerene met me to go Bugis.Nice to walk the place, seems like eons since i step into that area. There are lots of shops to shop for trinkets for presents. But when comes to clothes i just found nothing.

Don’t get me wrong, the clothing shops there are really fashionable but i can’t find what’s right for me.its either too young or too old for me.

That’s the problem of being 19 going 20.

Teenager or an adult?

I expect the year that i’m 20 year old is going to be a confusing one.

But i managed to find seashells presents for my God-parents.

After Bugis trip, we went back to Tampinese Mall to get my Charles and Keith slippers.

My mum loves the slipper too, so i might be getting another pair but in a different color.

Another issue i have to mention it.

I got this craving for Fried oyster omelette so we went to the foodcourt at Bugis. We found this stall that says “Traditional food” or something like that. They have fried oyster omelette.

At $5 !!!

2 plates cost $10!!!!

That is so wrong!!! How much does eggs, oysters, seasoning and starch cost??? And they don’t really follow tradition here! If they did, the price should be way cheaper than that!

Just because the foodcourt is super swanky, the price got to be exorbitant as well?

Not only that food, its hokkien mee and the likes cost $5 as well.

No way i’m paying that amount for a plate of coffee shop dish. It’ll be like falling into their business trap.

Unless your osyters are something to brag about, like from the seas of Australia or something. And your eggs are from the newly discovered 0% cholestrol hen, then raised your price by all means. But authentic taste of coffeeshop recipes is still the best.

Contentement passe richesse.
